Chamaerops is a hardy tree producing a dense head of evergreen, fan-shaped leaves from its short trunk. The stiff, corrugated, fronds have attractive silvery undersides that really catch the eye. This plant is slow growing, with a particularly compact habit, so a great choice for smaller spaces. With maturity, Chamaerops humilis is surprisingly hardy outdoors but will appreciate some winter protection while young.
