Its lobed leaves are bright green in spring and summer, turning to an impressive display of reds and purples during autumn, until they finally fall. This hardy shrub is vigorous in its growth but requires little or no maintenance. Capable of growing in excess of 15m (6 feet) tall, Parthenocissus tricuspidata ‘Veitchii’ is ideal for walls and fences, requiring only the occasional cutting back to keep it within its required area of the garden.
